Democracy is an ongoing process. It ebbs and flows with the times, as inescapable as the tide rolling in one color, crashing against the beach, and then withdrawing only to roll back a different color. In a country as independent and unyielding as America, there just isn’t a good way to guarantee any result. We’re too headstrong.
Too opinionated. American values, at their core, are based around fierce independence and the spirit of moving ever forward. That drive is what forced regular everyday people to come together and topple the tyrannical rule of an Empire. It is what sent explorers West into our country's collective destiny. It is what rallied the Western world against the evil of those who would seek to rule the world from an ocean away.
Elections Lead To Change
Let us keep you up-to-date
The common denominator for every American mark made in history is our constitutional rights. Each one, from the ten set forth in the Bill of Rights to every one added after, empowered Americans in a way that no people had truly been empowered before. Our right to freedom of speech guaranteed our ability to speak out against injustice in our government. Our second amendment granted us the right to defend the first, and all the others, with firearms.
That will never change.
There is no need to explain why you possess one. Whether for sport, the occasional range day, or, most commonly, for self-defense. Regardless of why you have decided to arm yourself, it is your reason and your right to do so.
No election can change that.
The same right, in its infancy, that helped throw an Empire back across the sea keeps up protected every single day.
Powers doesn’t originate from the singular. Whether that is a singular man or woman, a singular piece of legislation, or a singular day. It comes from the collective. As a collective, the majority of Americans have chosen to exercise their rights to defend themselves. So long as the collective stands, that won’t change.
So long as the whole does not lay down, stand aside, or stay home when it matters most, the right to make the decision to arm ourselves for our lawful goals will stand.
The collective built this country, and on the backs of the many does it still stand.
The result of every election cycle is a message, but so are the factors surrounding it. The 2026 National Firearms Survey demonstrates that Americans across the spectrum are choosing to arm themselves for self-defense. Adult firearm ownership has risen from 31.9% to 32.7%. Female gun ownership made a sharp jump from 42.2% to 45.7%.
Perhaps most striking, Americans who decided to carry a handgun rose from 56.2% in 2021 to 70% in 2026.
Americans across the board are exercising their rights and want to defend themselves.
The most up to date Gallup poll indicated that, when Americans were asked “What do you think is the most important problem facing this country today?”, “Guns/Gun control” has registered between 0.0-0.5%.
Guns and gun control is notably absent from many midterm exit polls. While this can be interpreted in many ways, it is hard to see it for anything other than the fact that guns are important to all Americans and the usual divide between demographics is breaking down.
The reasons can vary and are a topic of discussion everywhere from the chambers of Capitol Hill to the meeting rooms of gun manufacturers across the country.
What matters is that our rights are more important than ever to average everyday people. The right to self-defense is inalienable and lives in the heart of every citizen who sees their rights as not just something they were taught in school but an intrinsic part of who they, and their country, are.
Our freedom is woven into the fabric of our being and more than ever people across the country understand that piece of our collective is backed by firearms.
Affordability, quality of life, foreign politics; these are the things that have commonly united Americans even if they can’t agree on how to go about fixing these important issues. Families are choosing to use Affirm just to pay for groceries. Gas is keeping families at home during critical months for our economy. Foreign policy is hotly debated. All of these things are top of mind. More and more, guns and the second amendment are slipping into this conversation, where more Americans are agreeing than we need them but are divided on how to approach access.
These are all issues the collective must work towards not just in our overarching national politics but in how we approach our neighbors. The individual is stronger than ever in America, but to properly examine and attack the issues burdening the country today, we must use these individual traits that make us strong to put toward the collective goodwill.
All of it is in the interest of American security. We want to be secure in our finances, our day to day, and in knowing we can protect our very lives without being punished for exercising our second amendment.
No election will stop that. No wave can wash away our rights, no matter how tall. That is a truth that is self-evident and cannot be swept aside.
Right To Bear Is Here To Protect Your Legal Future
Every organization and government body has its purpose in your life. Right To Bear’s is to give you the legal protection you deserve.
The moment you decide to defend yourself is the beginning, not the end. Police, prosecutors, paperwork, and bills don’t wait for anyone to catch their breath.
That is where a Right To Bear membership stands with you.
It starts with a phone call. Our 24/7/365 emergency hotline is answered by an attorney, and one call establishes attorney-client privilege, so you can get real answers in real time about how to speak with investigators and what to do if you are arrested. Questions don’t have to wait for an emergency, either. Members can talk with a qualified attorney about self-defense legal questions before anything ever happens.
A Right To Bear membership includes access to CCW insurance through a self-defense liability policy acquired by Right To Bear for its members. Under that policy, members have protection* for criminal and civil defense in the event of a covered act of self-defense, with the ability to choose their own attorney.
Behind that comes the things people forget to worry about until they need them: legal fee protection if a firearm is seized under a red flag law, lost wage protection for the time spent away from work, expert witness support, reimbursement for a firearm seized after a covered incident, and counseling for the stress that can follow. That protection reaches a negligent discharge too, because even responsible owners can make a mistake.
Optional add-ons are available for a spouse or secondary member, multi-state protection, bail bond benefits, and minor household children let you shape your protection around your own household.
Life is bigger than any one incident, so the membership is too. A Family Legal Benefit through Legal Club helps with matters like wills and small claims. Training videos, an educational library, and our monthly newsletter, From The Den, keep members learning, because responsible owners never stop. Industry partner discounts and perks add value to everyday life.
When you need help, no election will make that call for you, and no headline will answer it. What helps is protection already in place on the day you need it.
The collective stands because the individual is ready. Right To Bear exists to help you be ready.
